Hello! I have been following the commercialized space market since my freshman year of college. As someone who has always strove to be on the cutting edge of engineering, the space industry has continuously piqued my interest. I have worked hard and fought to stay true to this personal drive through my two Co-Ops during my time at Northeastern University. Working at 3D Fortify, an industrial 3D printer company, I learned how to work as a mechanical engineer within a field that is constantly changing and developing. I then utilized this skill and mindset in my second Co-Op at NASA’s JPL. There, I worked on the Mars Sample Return mission designing, running, and managing full scale tests of the supersonic DBG parachute that would be utilized on the entry decent and landing of Mars. Throughout my time there, I continued to develop my skills and confidence in a fast paced, yet technically thorough, field. Working at JPL reaffirmed my commitment to the space industry as there was not a day that went by where I was not excited to get up for work and learn as much as I could. My work ethic was rewarded with the opportunity to work as the lead engineer responsible for the Dynamic Extraction test of the Mars DGB chute.
